We believe that God has always existed and is sovereign. He created, and He sustaines the universe by His wisdom and power.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He was born of the Virgin Mary, crucified on the cross for the sins of mankind and arose, bodily, from the grave. Now, He is seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven, interceding on behalf of believers and awaiting to judge the living and the dead.
We believe that Scripture is God’s Word, written by men as they were inspired by God to write exactly what God wanted them to write. Scripture is authoritative, inerrant, without contradiction, and sufficient for faith and practice.
We believe that the Church consists of Jesus the Christ, (the head), and believers, (the body) His body. We acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior and obey His commands. The Church is the organism by which the Holy Spirit completes the work of Christ on earth through the life of each believer.
We believe that the local church is the place where believers assemble to learn the practice of worship that is pleasing to God through the Word, fellowship, praise, exhortation, baptism, and sacraments.
We believe that man’s salvation comes through the atoning work of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The death penalty incurred by Adam’s sin is redeemed by Christ's saving grace. We are saved by grace through faith, and this is a gift of God, lest any should boast.
We believe that sanctification is the process by which man is made perfect in God. It is a progressive work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer that begins with the new birth and is continued and made perfect in Christ Jesus.
We believe in believer’s baptism, as taught in the Scriptures, by immersion in water, in the name of Jesus- showing forth our likeness with Him in His death to sin and resurrection to new and eternal life. We believe that the Lord’s Supper commemorates the Lord’s death- the bread and wine symbolizing His body and blood as we remember Him until He returns.
